"The whole idea is to create excitement to carry it over to the game," he explains. "At the end of the day, it's all about the kids and the experience."

Pre-Game Safety Protocols: The Minnesota State High School League's Proactive Approach

In addition to the security measures implemented by individual schools, the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) is also taking a proactive approach to enhancing game-day safety. For the first time, the organization is requiring a "pre-contest timeout" between administrators, head coaches, and medical personnel to discuss unique aspects of the game and venue, as well as review emergency plans and "contest-ending procedures."
